Bethany Wilinski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Michigan State University. She is also an education sector lead for MSU’s Tanzania Partnership Program (TPP). Dr. Wilinski holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has experience teaching preschool, elementary school, and university students. After earning a B.S. in Elementary Education from Bucknell University, she taught primary school in Bukoba, Tanzania for two years. While earning an M.A. in International Educational Development with a focus on African Education, she continued to work in Tanzania, collaborating on the development and facilitation of Teaching In Action, a professional development workshop for secondary school teachers. Prior to returning to graduate school for doctoral studies, Dr. Wilinski was the assistant director of a childcare center in Madison, Wisconsin. She currently serves as Director of the Global Educators Cohort Program and education sector lead for TPP.
